Rich Flanery Mortgage Team to continue serving Estes under new company

In the fall of 2022, Rich Flanery, a senior loan officer and financial planner, teamed up with a small group of professionals to part ways with Mortgage Solutions and start a new Estes Park-based company named Peak Capital Mortgage, LLC.

As Flanery explained, the need for a new company was the result of changes in the lending industry and rapidly raising industry rates in 2022. The founding members looked to form a model that would allow a better client experience and have more options for clients' home financing needs within today's financial climate, which they found in Peak Capital Mortgage.

"This is a private financing company that allowed many borrowers to obtain financing to meet their short-term needs when they weren't able to obtain financing in the more traditional outlets," Flanery said. "I have been serving northern Colorado and the Estes Park community for 27 years. When markets get challenging, our team has always looked for ways to adapt to the new marketplace to better serve our clients and business partners."

Aside from the name change, Flanery said the company will continue to serve Estes Park with the same location, same phone number and same highly trained group that supports their clients and partners.

In addition to the branch level, Peak Capital Mortgage has added an experienced group that will guide the company in the changing industry. This group includes a CPA with 35 plus years in the banking, oil and gas industries; a CPA with 35 plus years overseeing the financial operations with various mortgage companies; and an appraiser with 30 years in this field with additional experience in real estate and lending and a top producing loan originator and financial planner.

Though he couldn't say how soon it would be, Flanery expressed interest in Peak Capital Mortgage expanding out with more branches both in and out of state and continuing to grow in the future.
